Ronnie Bass

Ronnie Bass may be young – but man, does he sound experienced (after all, he did write his first song at four years old). His style of “old school flavor mixed with hot punch lines and much swag” is something to sample for yourself, moving his hip hop sound here, there and everywhere. XXQs: Ronnie Bass (PEV): How would you describe your sound and what do you feel makes you stand out over the others in your genre?

Ronnie Bass (RB): My style is a mix of old school flavor with hot punch lines with much swag.

PEV: Tell  us how you developed your musical journey.   Why did you decide to run with this?

RB: I have been around music all my life, so it was no escaping my destiny. I was groomed for Hip Hop.

PEV: What can fans expect from a live Ronnie Bass show?

RB: A show I love to entertain. When the lights come on I transform into Ronnie Bass. It’s like I’m not myself anymore.

PEV:  What is the first thing that comes to mind when you write a song?

RB: Real life from a young person view, no crazy stuff just having fun being young.

PEV:  What is your creative process like?

RB: I hear the beat and flow no matter the tempo (laughs).

PEV: What was the underlining inspiration for you?

RB:  When I was four my Dad put me on the mic and a star was born (laughs).

PEV: Thinking back to when you first started out, do you ever look back at your career and think about your earlier days and how you’ve arrived where you are today?

RB: You know, I have had fun up to this point. I have so much to give to the game because I love to tell a great story from my point of view. I m still young and growing  very humble and always welling to learn.  Music is love

PEV: What’s one thing we’d be surprised to hear about you?

RB: I’m rich (laughs) but on the real that people love my music.

PEV:  Was there a certain point in your life when you knew that music was going to be a career for you?

RB: Yes when I got paid for my first show. I was hooked.

PEV: What one word best describes Ronnie Bass?

RB: The best kept secret, oh that’s for my bag.

PEV: How is life for you in the music world? Best and worst parts?

RB: The best parts are the fans and the why I fell when I perform. The worst is the time away from my friends and family.

PEV: Is there one area you wish you could travel around and play?

SH: Yes Europe, Asia I would love to play overseas for my fans.

PEV: How have all your friends and family reacted to your career?

RB: It’s been a shock to most of them, when they hear my music they say I didn’t now Big Ron’s baby could Rap…

PEV: What’s it like when you get to play in your hometown?

RB: Nothing but love.

PEV: What can we find you doing in your spare time?

RB: Drawing or washing my car. Got to keep the rims clean.

PEV: Name one present and past artist or group that would be your dream collaboration? Why?

RB: Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, Rick James just kidding about Rick. I would like to work with Usher and Justin Beaver.

PEV: Is there an up and coming band or artist you think we should all be looking out for now?

RB: Yes a group called “South for The Summer” - their a Rock pop band I love all kinds of music.

PEV: If you weren’t playing music now what do you think would be your career?

RB: Drawing at a art school, after high school.

PEV: So, what is next for you?

RB: I hope to be on tour this summer, maybe a college tour next year.
